NOVICE CARDED TRYOUT - Time change

YORKTON NOVICE CARDED TERRIERS

TRYOUT INFORMATION

Yorkton Minor Hockey will be holding a tryout session on Monday, January 11th, 2010 from 5:45 pm until 7:45 pm at the Theodore Arena. Yorkton Minor Hockey will pay for the evaluation ice time, therefore there is no charge for the tryout.

Ryan Hoffman has been selected as Coach of the Novice Carded Program. All other team staff positions will be determined after the team has been selected.

Selection to the team will be based upon the evaluation session, coach evaluations and Major Hockey League games. After the team is selected, there will be weekly practices in January and February that will not interfere with Major Hockey League teams.

After March 1st, the tentative plan is to attend the following tournaments:


1. Bismarck Mite Tournament – March 5-7th - Bismarck, ND
·All parents/players attending will need passports.

2. Warman Novice Carded Tournament - March 19-21st - Warman, SK

3. Moosomin Novice Carded Tournament – March 28-30th – Moosomin, SK

Based on initial estimates regarding practice time and tournament fees, a projected player fee will be $300.

Successful players will be notified within 48 hrs following the evaluation.

YORKTON ATOM CARDED TERRIERS

TRYOUT INFORMATION

Yorkton Minor Hockey will be holding a tryout session on Sunday, January 3rd, from 1.30 pm until 3.30 pm at the Farrell Agencies Arena. Yorkton Minor Hockey will pay for the evaluation ice time, therefore there is no charge for the tryout.

Brad Haberman has been selected as Head Coach of the Atom Carded Program. All other team staff positions will be determined after the team has been selected.

Selection to the team will be based upon skill sessions, coach evaluations and Major Hockey League games. There will be weekly practices after January 10th that will not interfere with Major Hockey League teams.

After March 1st, the tentative plan is to attend the following tournaments:

1. Black Aces in Saskatoon (5 – 7 March)
2. Manitoba Hurricanes 2010 Spring Break Classic in Oakbank (2 - 4 April)
3. Moosomin (9 -11 April)



Projected player fee will be $300.

Successful players will be notified following the evaluation.
